This study attempted to clarify factors influencing the sense of busyness among employees in industrial organizations and the interrelations among those factors.As a result,a sense of busyness was shown to be influenced by a "sense of work volume," consisting of initial conditions for given tasks including subjective view of work volume,concurrency in tasks,and the amount of information given to employees; a feeling of incompetence,composed of a felt lack of competence for a given task and the invisibility of the totality of the task; and a "tendency to receive little support affected ones sense of busyness," constituted by the support situation in a given group.Moreover,it was revealed that a "sense of work volume" is what gives a direct and significant impact on a sense of busyness,with a "feeling of incompetence" and a "tendency to receive little support" influencing a sense of busyness through the mediation of a "sense of work volume".
