Despite the emerging clinical application of molecular targeted pharmaceuticals, human epidermal growth factor receptor (HER) family members including HER1/EGFR and HER2 remain the leading drivers of carcinomas with poor prognosis.We found that HER2 interacts with CD44 to promote metastasis of gastric cancers via epigenetic silencing of miR-139, which consequently upregulates the miR-139 target gene, CXCR4.We generated a series of immunoapoptotins by fusing HER2 single chain antibody, a translocation domain and an apoptosis executioner.These fusion proteins are supposed to recognize,internalize and trigger apoptosis of cancer cells.
