Microbial fuel cell (MFC) has become a new approach for recycling environmental resources due to its functions of degrading organic waste and creating clean energy simultaneously.Facing the low power performance and rising time issues of MFC,a new method of using external electric field in MFC rarely noted would be applied in this study. Results show that bacterium move direct to the region of anode electrode significantly due to the effect of external electrical force.
