The crystal structure,phase composition and surface chemical state of the Ti0.7Zr0.3Mn2-xVx (x = 0.2,0.4,0.6,0.8,1.0) alloys are studied by X-ray powder diffraction (XRD),scanning electron microscope (SEM) and X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy (XPS) techniques.The hydrogen activation performance,storage properties,and thermodynamics and kinetics of the alloys are investigated by hydrogen absorption and pressure-composition isotherm (P-C isotherm) measurements at various pressures and temperatures.
