Hairiness is a key index that characterizes the properties of ring spun yarn.Studying the hairiness distribution of a bobbin yarn makes the changes of corresponding hairiness quantities of clear,and helps a perspective to research the reason why the hairiness comes into being,which may be the key to develop a new way to reduce hairiness.In this study,six bobbin yarn spun by practical production machine was tested 85 times by YG173A Hairiness Tester in the standard state,respectively.Through the statistical analysis of data,the results showed that the hairiness distribution was dynamic and regular.
