Aurora kinase-A and-B are key regulators of the cell cycle and tumorigenesis.Deregulation of both Aurora kinases leads to mitotic abnormality and genetic instability and is tightly associated with in many human cancers.Kaposis sarcoma-associated herpesvirus (KSHV), an etiological agent ofseveral malignancies including Kaposis sarcoma, primary effusion lymphoma and multicentric Castlemans diesease, has been previously shown to deregulate both Aurora kinases.
