Over the 20th Century,English had been taught in the traditional three Kachruvian Circles (Kachru,1982) as ENL,ESL and EFL.Since the 21st century,English has been increasingly perceived as an international language for global communication.In addition,World Englishes as a discipline has become the main driver behind the paradigm shift from teaching English as an ENL/ESL/EFL to teaching English as an International Language (EIL).
