Polyacrylamide hydrogel (PAAG) has been used for several years in China as an implanted material for mammoplasty augmentation.Many kinds of complications after PAAG injection have been reported.Here we present a case of breast cancer occurrence after injection of PAAG in augmented breasts.It is important yet harder to detect early breast cancer when it was covered by the induration of the injected gel and inflammation reaction after PAAG injection.PAAG injection for mammoplasty augmentation may affect the outcome of diagnosis and prognosis in breast cancer.
