　　It has been carried out that the rate of rusting of reduced ilmenite in the Panzhihua area.The effects of temperature, particle size, stirring speed, aeration rate,concentration of ammonium chloride and hydrochloric acid on the rate of rusting has been investigated.Analysis showed the rate determining step was the surface chemical reaction and the Arrhenius activation energy was found to be 21.349 kJ/mol.
