In photosynthetic bacteria, the enzyme magnesium chelatase catalyzes the insertion of magnesium ion into protoporphyrin Ⅸ [1].This multi-component enzyme is consisted of three subunits called H,I and D.I subunit,an ATPase, forms a complex with the D subunit. The reaction of chelation takes place when the ID complex combines with H subunit, which binds both the protoporphyrin substrate and magnesium ion [2].
