Effect of neutral electrolyte water and sugar on reducing microbial load in the vase solution and improving the quality ofdendrobium orchid flower cv.Burana Jade was investigated by holding flowers in 15 and 30％ neutral electrolyte water (NEW;STERIPLANT(R))and 15 and 30％ NEW combined with 1％ sucrose, compared with sterile deionized water (SDW) and SDW + 1％ sucrose (SU) as control in an observation room (21+2℃, 70-80％ RH under cool white fluorescent lights for 12 h/day).
