To examine the preharvest and postharvest characteristics of leaf lettuce, two cultivars, Geokchima and Cheongchima, were grown in nutrient solution concentration (1/2S, 1S, 2S, and 4S)of DFT (deep flow technology) hydroponics.Growth parameter,moisture content, pigment color (chlorophyll and anthocyanin)and mineral composition were the preharvest characteristics evaluated while fresh weight loss, SPAD value and external appearance were used for the postharvest characteristics evaluation.
