Based on the actual demand of effectively managing and sharing the massive spatial and non-spatial data of digital community,we realized the scalability design of digital community metadata adapter by applying object oriented technique to repeated reconstruction.And the practical application in some community of Hangzhou in China testified that the design did improve the management efficiency of metadata.The idea and method of the design will be also applicable to metadata management of digital city or digital library etc.
