Almost all cancer-driving events are exerted through altered transcriptional states: abnormal expression levels, mutation-carrying transcripts, gene fusions, or specific isoform usage.We applied RNA Sequencing with whole genome or exome sequencing to interrogate a panel of gastric and liver cancer samples, and identified recurrently mutated genes as well as cancer-specific splicing isoforms.
