　　Lyapunov exponents are important values for the characterization of attractors of finite-dimensional systems.They measure the exponential rates of divergence or convergence of nearby orbits of an attractor in the state space.In practical applications, it is most important to know the largest Lyapunov exponent.For smooth systems, methods for calculating of Lyapunov exponents have been well developed.
