Hydrophobically modified polysaccharides (HMP) can self-aggregate due to their intro-and/or intermolecular hydrophobic interaction in aqueous media to form nanoparticles with hydrophobic core and hydrophilic shell. This kind of structure is suitable for trapping hydrophobic substance.Recently,self-assembled nanoparticles based on HMP have been of particular interest because of their good biocompatibility, biodegradability.Alginate nanoparticles were extensively studied as drug careers because of safety on per oral administration, but few studies about nanoscaled alginate derivatives which were used as nutraceutics carders have been reported.
