Asparagus virus 1 (AV-1) and Asparagus virus 2 (AV-2) are mainly detected viruses in asparagus.These viruses are known to show no obvious symptom by single infection, but double infection of AV-1 and AV-2 in asparagus significantly reduces the vigor and productivity.Use of virus-free plants may increase the yield and quality of asparagus, but in asparagus, it is difficult to prepare virus-free asparagus in vitro culture for field production.
