Facile Oxyamination of [60]Fullerene Promoted by FeCl3mCPBA at Room Temperature

Functional fullerenes with structural diversity and complexity have wide potential applications in materials, medical chemistry, and nanotechnology,[1] so it is urgent to explore novel methods for functionalization of fullerenes.Herein, we report a combination system of FeC13 with 3-chlorobenzoperoxoic acid (mCPBA), [2] which provide a facile access to oxyamination of [60]Fullerene in up to 62% yield at room temperature.
