　　Photoinitiator 907 [2-Methyl-4-(methylthio)-2-morpholinopropiophenone-1], as its chemical structure s3HC-(□)=-(o=c)(-N□o),methylthio group and morpholinyl group are defined as an auxochrome group and hydrotropy group respectively.Which make the photoinitiator 907 particularly suitable for UV Curing Paint, printing ink and adhesives.Currently, the 907 has been widely used in electronics, printing, plastics, paints, cosmetics, etc, because of the good stability, high absorption coefficient, non-yelle wing and high solubility in the organic solvents and organic monomer system.2-Methyl-1-[4-(methylthio)phenyl]-2-bromo-1-propanone is an important intermediate for synthesis of photoinitiator 907.Preparation Technology: 2-Methyl-l-[4-(methylthio)phenyl]-1-propanone is generated by the reaction of Isobutyl chloride and thioanisole, then the target product is obtained by the bromination.
