永济纺织厂是1970年投产的。到1984年的15年间,未增加一分纱锭、一台布机。1984年杜永祥担任厂长,到1994年的10年间,企业生产规模由1.5万枚纱锭、48O台布机增加到3.65万枚纱锭、1000台布机,扩大了1.5倍;固定资产由10年前的1010万元增加到1.5亿元,增长了10倍;年工业总产值由1984年的1300万元增加到1994年的1亿元。经济效益连年稳居全省同行业前茅。
