  鄂尔多斯盆地二叠系山西组地层区分了晚石炭系与早二叠系的界限。通过对盆地东北部内蒙古自治区准格尔旗黑岱沟剖面、陕西省府谷县城剖面、保德扒楼沟剖面、柳林成家庄剖面以及山西省太原西山剖面的对比追踪,特别是在对野外砂体的粒度、分选磨圆以及沉积构造特征的详细分析研究后,我们提出鄂尔多斯盆地东北部山西组山1段发育进积型辫状河沉积。同时在盆地东北部的大牛地气田山西组山1段的沉积体系研究中,我们发现山1段发育进积型辫状河三角洲沉积。

塔西南坳陷昆仑山前地区横跨叶城凹陷、齐姆根凸起及喀什凹陷。为阐明塔里木盆地昆仑山前地区白垩系地层展布及沉积演化特征,以野外实测剖面为基础,取得了岩石组合特征、分布规律和沉积作用等方面的详实数据。结合井下资料的分析,综合样品的分析测试认为,昆仑山前地区白垩系地层自下而上可分为克孜勒苏群(四段)、库克拜组(上下两段)、乌依塔克组、依格孜牙组及吐依洛克组,其中,克孜勒苏群以棕红色砂砾岩、砂泥岩为特征,库
