　　Metabonomics is a quantitative approach to study "the dynamic metabolic response of living systems to pathophysiological stimuli or genetic modification".This research strategy is well coincident with the integrity and systemic feature of Traditional Chinese Mediancine(TCM).Due to high sensitivity and resolution, UPLC-MS technology is preferred to apply to metabonomics.Rhizoma Drynariae (RD) is an effectively TCM which is usually used in treating osteoporosis and bone fracture.Up to now, little is known about its metabonomics study.The Aim of our study is to establish the kidney metabonomic profiles of rats, then to investigate the intervention effects of RD on osteoporosis rats.
