Objective: Neurofibroma is a neurogenic tumor which consists of nerve sheath cells and fibroblasts, with surgical excision as main clinical treatment.Neurofibroma is often associated with skin adhesions and ill-defined, with rich blood supply and blood sinus. Therefore, direct excision can result in excessive bleeding.Giant neurofibroma patients mostly have severe facial deformity and it is difficult to reconstruct defects after the tumor resection. Here we summarize our clinical experience of radiofrequency ablation-assisted surgical treatment for giant neurofibroma of oral and maxillofacial region.
