Graphene is sensitive to the substrate and the surrounding environment and p-type transfer characteristics of reduced graphene oxide are mostly acquired under ambient conditions, because of the air doping effect, especially doped by ambient oxygen, which acts as an electron trap.Although the exact chemical structure of GO has not been determined, it has lots of oxygen-containing groups, such as hydroxyl groups and epoxy groups on the basal plane and carboxylic acid groups at the edge, which give GO the chance to chemical modification.
