　　Rungia Nees(Acanthaceae: Justicieae)is a genus of about 50 species distributed in tropical and subtropical regions of the Old World,and sixteen species are recognized in recently published volume 19 of Flora of China.Rungia is closely related to Justicia L.but differs in the rising placenta in ripe capsule.
