Influenza A virus induces massive immflammation and lung injury.Various effector arms of immune system can act deleteriously to initiate or exacerbate pathological damage in this viral infection.We undertook the study to track directly the dinamics of immune cell and cytokine response and the coorelation between the immune factors and the virus peak in lung in vivo through the 14 days post infection with influenza A virus (A/PR 8 34).The immune response elicited by influenza A virus in the draining lymph nodes and spleen of the mouse model was also investigated.We found that higher level of IL-6 was measured on day 2,and dropped to background level on day 6 post infection.
