Near infrared s pectroscopy c ombining with c hemometrics method was u sed t o d etermine t he o xygen I n gasoline.The oxygen concentration of l00 light gasoline samples covered the range of 0.l-2.5%.The samples were divided into calibrated and validated sets by Mahalanobis distances according to Kennard/Stone classified method.Partial least squares(PLS)was applied to establish the quantitative model of sulfur.The calibration and prediction relationship(RC and RP)was 0.986 and 0.977.The standard error of calibration and prediction(SEC and SEP)was 0.l35%and 0.l47%.The analysis result for external validated samples showed that the NIR method satisfied the requirement of standard method.
