  Topology optimization of continuum structure is a current hot research field of structural optimization.The structures composed with plate or/and shell elements are important structural forms of various engineering fields.For the topological optimization of this kind of structures, adopting methods deal with the homogenization method, the variable density method, the evolutionary structural optimization method, the level set method, the ICM (independent continuous mapping) method et al..In recent years, the topology optimization of plate and shell structure focus on problems with volume constraints or frequency constraints, the problem with stress constraints is less attent.Based on the research of ICM method for the topology optimization of plane structure and three-dimensional structure under stress constraints studied by Yunkang SUI and et al., the topology optimization of plate and shell structure under stress constraints is researched in this paper.
