Objective To explore the correlation between inflammation status and obesity-related indicators in children and provide the basis for better control of obesity. Methods A cluster sampling method was used to select 484 students from 2 primary schools in Haidian District, Beijing for physical and blood tests. Results The average levels of CRP in boys and girls were 1.34 mg / L and 1.44 mg / L, respectively. The levels of CRP in obesity group and TG group were significantly higher than those in normal group (P <0.05) LDL-C, waist circumference and CRP levels were positively correlated (P all <0.05). Multivariate analysis showed that CRP levels increased with waist circumference, serum HDL-C and LDL-C levels in boys and increased with age, diastolic blood pressure, and serum TG and HDL-C levels (all P <0.05 ). Conclusion The level of inflammation in obese children is higher than that in normal children. The level of CRP increases with the increase of blood lipids, waist circumference and diastolic blood pressure. The influencing factors of inflammation in boys and girls are different.
