Background Mitochondrial dysfunction has been suggested as a contributing factor to the injury of heart, Also,restoration of mitochondrial function, known as mitochondrial biogenesis, has been implicated as a key factor for the recovery of heart failure.Salidroside can improve hemorheology of rats in the acute blood stasis model, and it has protective effects on myocardial ischemie reperfusion injury in isolated rat heart.
