Chemical reactions can be controlled by different types of external stimuli,giving rise to a broad set of existent and emergent information technology applications.One of conventional ways for controlling chemical reactions is electric field driven chemical reaction,i.e.electrochemical effect.Electrochemical phenomena underpin a broad spectrum of energy,chemical and information technologies.Accordingly,the basic electrochemical phenomena are very important to be understood.
