　　Biomass burning releases many trace gases and aerosols,such as carbon monoxide,oxygenated volatile organic compounds and phosphorous in the form of aerosols,into the atmosphere,which have a significant influence on an air quality and climate.Recent study suggests that forest fires may substantially serve to fertilize areas of the ocean where phosphorous is limiting.
