Due to the strong covalence nature of Si-C bond,Silicon carbide(SiC)ceramic possesses the advantages of high strength,high hardness,and excellent resistance to wear,corrosion and oxidation.So they arouse extensive interest among the industry sectors.For example,the ultra-hardness nature of SiC ceramic has great attraction for use in applications where good resistance to friction is necessary,such as in bearings,wear-parts,valves,and seals.
