TOPOCROM Texturing is an advanced technology for texturing of flat sheet metal surfaces which sets new standards for steel workers and end-user of textured flat steel products: ①much higher roll life time compared with EDT textured rolls.The extremely high life time of the rolls is a result of the special hemispherical structure and hardness of the TOPOCROM layer.②improved and constant surface quality of the sheet.Only a very low decrease of roughness of the TOPOCROM topography is observed during the operation in the skin pass mill stand.The hemispherical structure of the TOPOCROM layer has a favorable effect on the stability of the surface.③ reduced costs and higher productivity.④TOPOCROM Texturing has the highest potential for customizing the design of the surface topography of sheet metal.TOPOCROM Texturing absolutely fulfills the increasing demands in regard to forming and painting abilities for the future generations of steel sheet material.a) Building of closed lubricant pockets b) High amount of closed lubricant pockets with equal distribution improves formability.c) High peak account values ( Pc) also with higher roughness-values as well as lower short and long wave improves painting appearance.The Structure for Texturing will be build up on the roll body by the special TOPOCROM hard chromium electroplating process.The plant for TOPOCROM electroplating of working rolls is based on the patented and approved reactor technology.TOPOCROM reactor technology constructed as a closed loop unit meets the highest demands in respect to environment and work protection.
