Haptoglobin (HP) is an acute phase protein and has been shown to play an anti-inflammatory role by binding free haemoglobin.The role and implication of HP in patients with stable coronary heart disease (CHD) are not completely defined.This study is toassess the plasma level of HP in patients with CHD and explore the relationship between the concentration of HP and the severityof CHD.
