The Effects of Five Dong Minority Medicinal Plant Extractions on Rat Splenic Lymphocyte Proliferatio

  Objective:To reveal the rat splenic lymphocyte proliferation induced by the fiveDong minority medicinal plants such as Potentilla discolor Bunge.,Lilhocarpus Polystachys Rehd.,Lonicera macranthoides Hand.-Mazz.,lnula cappa (Buch-Ham.Ex D.Don) DC.and Ampelopsis grossedentata (Hand-Mazz) W.T.Wang.Method:the effects of ultrasonic extractions with 70% ethanol on rat splenic lymphocyte proliferation were investigated by MTT method.The extracts were dissolved by RPMI-1640 medium,and mixed with Lymphocytes,then seeded in 96-well tissue culture plates and incubated at 37℃.Result:the five extracts significantly increased the proliferation of rat splenic lymphocyte.Without ConA synergism,the 800 μg/mL Ampelopsis grossedentata extract exhibited best splenoeytes proliferation effect,the optimal concentrations for Lilhocarpus Polystachys,Potentilla discolor,Lonicera macranthoides and lnula cappa were 800 μg/mL,400 μg/mL,800 μg/mL,400 μg/mL,respectively.With ConA synergism,the optimal concentrations to splenocytes proliferation for Potentilla discolor,Lilhocarpus Polystachys,Lonicera macranthoides,Inula cappa,Ampelopsis grossedentata were 400 μg/mL,100 μg/mL,200 μg/mL,800μg/mL,800 μg/mL,respectively,but the differences between different plant extracts were not obviously.
