Japanese Ministry of Education conducted the national survey of information utilization ability of 5th and 11th graders.The amount of subjects were approximately 3,000 for each grade.Questionnaires were used to grasp conditions of schools and educational setting of the subjects.In result,5th graders have difficulties in finding and connecting specific information from multiple web pages despite of the high rate of success in comprehending well organized information.They also have difficulties in properly organizing,interpreting and publishing information.11th graders showed the same results in finding,connecting,and comprehending information.They have difficulties in organize,understand and publish information,despite the fact that they could organize and understand information in a list.Both have some kinds of difficulties in understanding information securities such as protecting personal information and dealing with malicious information.
