A finite element implementation with UEL in ABAQUS for fully coupled mechanical-chemical processes

  In this paper,we introduce a finite element implementation with UEL(user-defined element)in ABAQUS for fully coupled mechanical–chemical processes based on irreversible thermodynamics and Gibbs function variational principle.For isothermal condition,the chemical–mechanical coupling problems can be derived for simplification from thermal–chemical–mechanical problems,and naturally the constitutive equations and the chemical Gibbs function variational principle can be got.
