The one-dimensional infinite diamond chain consisted of quantum Heisenberg dimers alternating with single classical Ising spins is considered.By using the transfer-matrix method, the quantum discord (QD) between the two Heisenberg spins of the dimer can be exactly obtained.The finite-temperature properties are investigated compared with entanglement of formation (EOF) and shown that QD can exist in a wider parameter space than EOF.
