There are inherently various uncertainties in engineering structure.When considering uncertainty,reliability-based design optimization (RBDO) and robust design optimization (RDO) are two well-established methodology.RBDO seeks the optimal objective value under probabilistic constrains.RDO aims to seek designs which are less sensitive to uncertainties.Naturally,reliability-based robust design optimization (RBRDO) is a recently developed methodology combining RBDO and RDO,in which design variables tolerance always remains constant.
