Estimation of carbon dynamics and stocks on land is one of the major stumbling blocks in the carbon cycle modeling community.This study describes our research effort to develop the Ent Dynamic Global Terrestrial Ecosystem Model (Ent DGTEM) for coupling with a atmospheric general circulation models (GCMs) for study the impact of climate change on terrestrial ecosystem.We will also describe current effort to fusion lidar remotely sensed 3-D vegetation structure with Ent for improved estimates of carbon stocks and land-atmosphere exchanges.
