Lux has been used as the photometric unit of Illuminance for decades,measuring luminous flux per unit area.As it is the measure of light intensity as perceived by human eyes with the power at each wavelength weighted according to the luminosity function,a standardized model of human visual brightness perception,it has been very conveniently and widespread used in street,building,and working place lighting to suit for human vision.
