  Close chamber-gas chromatography method was used to monitor N20 emission from five types of patches in two alpine meadow vegetations on the Tibetan Plateau in three years.These patches were Potentillafruticosa shrub meadow, herbaceous patches in the P.fruticosa shrub meadow, bare patches in the P.fruticosa shrub meadow, Kobresia humilis alpine meadow, and bare patches in the K.humilis meadow.
