Background Oxidative stress induced senescence of endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) plays an important role in diabetes mellitus (DM).Effect of bradykinin (BK) protects against senescence of EPCs remains unknown.Methods Human umbilical veins endothelial progenitor cells (HUVEPCs) were separated into 6 groups: 300 μmol/L H2O2 treated group,300 μmol/L H2O2+10 nmol/L BK treated group,300 μmol/L H2O2+10 nmol/L BK+10 μmol/L LY294002 treated group,300 μmol/L H2O2+10 nmol/L BK+B2R siRNA treated group and control.
