It is well established that deoxycytidine kinase (dCK) plays a significant role in the initial phosphorylation of some nucleoside analogs of therapeutic interest.Furthermore,the phosphorylation is of great importance to the anti-HIV activity of these compounds.As a result,dCK is viewed to be vital to the design of drugs against virtual.This communication reports our study of the purification and characteristic of the deoxycytidine kinase (dCK) from calf thymus.Precipitation and dialyze was applied to obtain the crude enzyme from the calf thymus.Then,the high purified dCK was isolated from the crude enzyme by the method ofFPLC (AKTA Purifier 100).
