Compared with graphite,there is no “layer stripping” led by Solvent cointercalation in hard carbon,and the well-developed pore structure shorten the diffusion length of Li ion.Thus hard carbon has excellent cycling and rate performance.However,the large irreversible capacity in the first cycle limits the electrochemical performance of hard carbon.The irreversible capacity results in two mechanisms,first,the formation of SEI.Second,the the irreversible reaction of lithium with surface functional groups.We prepared hard carbon spherules (HCS) by hydrothermal method,and aimed to raise the first columbic efficiency by surface coating to improve the electrochemical performance of hard carbon.
