Mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSN) have been intensively studied for drug delivery owing to their outstanding physicochemical properties.Specifically,the rational design of targeted and intelligent responsive MSN is highly desirable to improve the therapeutic efficacy and minimize the side effect of nanocarriers.In our previous work,a pH-responsive MSN drug delivery system was developed.The polyelectrolyte modified MSN exhibited improved biocompatibility and pH-controlled drug release behavior compared to the bare MSN[1].
