Objective: There are a great many variables in acupuncture treatment (e.g., point selection, the number of points selected,Chinese medicine pattems, acupuncture manipulation, different intervention time of acupuncture, duration of needling, number and frequency of sessions and needling sensation), all of which need to be addressed in designing and reporting clinical trials.
