  As an important part of urban public space,street spaces provide a significant place for people to live,communicate and do activities.Whether street spaces have vitality directly affect the vitality of the whole city.Commercial entrance space as an important node in the city streets,plays a vital role in the vitality of the urban streets.Commercial entrance space reflects the penetration of the interior and exterior spaces.Its the key to form space sequence and rhythm.In this paper,take the south entrance space of Dalian Heping Square for example.The study depends on a variety of discipline theory,using the research methods of environmental behavior,practical investigation,cognitive map,analysis and summarize,etc.We try to analyze the conditions of use,environmental satisfaction and the behavioral information of groups and individuals in the space.Based on it,classify and summarize initially on the space environmental factors that influence the vitality of street space,analyzing the merits of the city streets vitality from the perspective of human psychology and behavior.According to capture the role of human behavior on the characteristics of urban street space,we propose some design principles and elements to create vibrant city streets,making the design can reflect the needs of modern social life directly.These results and conclusions will be helpful to improve some design problems such as too excessive pursuit of form and divorced from reality.The significance of the study is laying the foundation of using mathematical statistics to summarize design methods to create a vibrant urban street.
