  The effects of uni-polar square waveform and sinusoidal waveform on helium dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) in ambient atmospheric pressure were studied.The discharge currents show that using an uni-polar square-wavean atmospheric glow-like discharge was obtained in our experiment,and atmospheric Townsend-like discharge was excited by sine-wave.
